Jenny Mac is a classical violinist that has been performing professionally since the age of 21. Born in Middle Tennessee, she started out playing at the age of nine and then went on to major in music at Belmont University and Middle Tennessee State University. While studying music, Jenny learned and enhanced her skills with other instruments such as piano and mandolin.
In 1993, Jenny started developing her music variety by playing in different genres of music. In addition to classical music, she plays religious and pop music. Listening to fiddle music will always be her greatest joy and continuing to learn klezmer is always a thrilling experience for her.
Following her studies, Jenny worked as a freelance musician. She played for various name bands, such as YES!, for which she did some studio work that she considers memorable. Jenny has also played in a variety of shows and produced packages for corporate events, concerts, and community shows, as well as weddings, and other private parties.
Over the years, various high school and college orchestras and local churches have requested Jenny’s attendance for performance. She has also performed with symphonic ensembles, including orchestras such as the Middle Tennessee Symphony and the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra, in venues such as Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Frist Center for the Arts, and the Acuff Theater.
